1. PROJECT SELECTION

Strait Stitch Upholstery will select two projects for the Project Transformation Promotion:

• One marine upholstery project

• One marine canvas project

Projects are personally selected by Strait Stitch Upholstery based on suitability, feasibility, project scope, timeframe, and the opportunity to showcase Strait Stitch craftsmanship.

This is not a random draw or contest. Submitting a project does not guarantee selection.

All submissions will be reviewed and applicants will be contacted regarding the outcome of their submission. While not every project will be selected for the promotion, Strait Stitch Upholstery may reach out to discuss the possibility of completing a non-selected project as a regular paid service.

2. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

The promotion is open to customers whose projects are reasonably accessible to Strait Stitch Upholstery within the Niagara Region and surrounding Lake Erie communities.

Because transportation is the customer's responsibility, projects must be located within a practical distance for the agreed-upon work arrangements.

Strait Stitch Upholstery reserves the right to determine whether a project location is suitable for the promotion.

3. WHAT YOU RECEIVE

If your project is selected, labour for the agreed-upon project scope will be provided at no charge by Strait Stitch Upholstery.

Promotional labour applies only to the specific work agreed upon before the project begins.

The promotion does not include the cost of materials, transportation, or additional work outside of the agreed-upon scope.

4. MATERIALS ARE THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY

The selected customer is responsible for the cost of all materials required for their project.

All materials will be sourced and supplied by Strait Stitch Upholstery. Customers may not supply their own materials for the promotional project.

Materials may include, where applicable:

• Fabric or marine-grade vinyl

• Foam

• Canvas

• Clear vinyl

• Zippers and hardware

• Thread

• Other required materials and supplies

Material options and costs will be discussed with the customer before anything is ordered.

No obligation to proceed

If the material cost is more than the customer is comfortable with, the customer may decline the project. There is no obligation to move forward simply because a project has been selected.

If the customer chooses not to proceed after reviewing the material requirements and costs, Strait Stitch Upholstery may select another project.

5. MATERIAL PAYMENT & APPROVAL

Required materials must be approved by the customer before they are ordered.

Payment for approved materials is required before materials are ordered.

Once materials have been approved and ordered specifically for the project, those material costs remain the customer's responsibility.

Changes to material selections after ordering may result in additional costs.

6. PROJECT SIZE, COMPLEXITY & SUITABILITY

Projects must be reasonably suited to the scope and purpose of the Project Transformation Promotion.

Strait Stitch Upholstery will consider factors including:

• Size of the project

• Complexity of the work

• Amount and availability of materials

• Required timeframe

• Accessibility and transportation

• Available workspace and resources

• Opportunity to showcase the craftsmanship of Strait Stitch Upholstery

Strait Stitch Upholstery reserves the right to decline projects that are too large, complex, unsafe, impractical, or otherwise unsuitable for the promotion.

7. PROJECT SCOPE & ADDITIONAL WORK

The promotional labour applies only to the agreed-upon project scope.

Existing upholstery, canvas, foam, frames, structures, hardware, and other components may contain hidden damage, deterioration, or other issues that cannot be identified until the project is inspected or disassembled.

Additional work discovered during the project, or requested by the customer outside of the agreed-upon scope, may be quoted separately.

Additional work will only proceed with customer approval.

8. PROJECT AVAILABILITY & TIMEFRAME

Selected projects must be available within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe.

The customer agrees to:

• Make the project available when required

• Provide necessary approvals in a timely manner

• Make material and design decisions promptly

• Communicate throughout the project

• Work with Strait Stitch Upholstery to meet the agreed-upon timeframe

Delays caused by customer communication, approvals, material selections, transportation, or access to the project may affect the project timeframe.

If a selected project cannot be made available or completed within the agreed-upon timeframe, Strait Stitch Upholstery reserves the right to release the project from the promotion and select another project.

9. TRANSPORTATION & ACCESS

The customer is responsible for transporting their project to and from the Strait Stitch Upholstery workshop when required.

Marine projects must either be accessible for agreed-upon on-site work or safely transportable to the workshop.

The customer is responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the project when work is scheduled.

10. MATERIAL & DESIGN APPROVAL

Before materials are ordered, the customer must approve the agreed-upon materials, colours, patterns, and design selections.

Inspiration photos may be used to communicate a customer's vision, but they do not guarantee an exact reproduction. Final design and construction decisions will be based on the project, selected materials, existing structure, and what is technically appropriate.

Changes requested after materials have been ordered may result in additional material costs, which will be the customer's responsibility.

11. PHOTOS & PROMOTIONAL USE

The purpose of the Project Transformation Promotion is to showcase the transformation and the craftsmanship involved in the project.

Strait Stitch Upholstery may photograph and/or video the project before, during, and after the transformation.

By participating in the promotion, the customer agrees that photos and videos of the project may be used by Strait Stitch Upholstery for:

• Website content

• Social media

• Advertising

• Portfolio materials

• Promotional materials

• Future marketing

Strait Stitch Upholstery may also use the project transformation as an example of its work in future promotional content.

12. PROMOTIONAL LABOUR

The promotional labour has no cash value and cannot be:

• Exchanged for cash

• Transferred to another person or project

• Applied toward previous or unrelated work

• Redeemed for another service

The promotional labour is provided only for the selected project and agreed-upon scope.

13. RIGHT TO DECLINE OR WITHDRAW

Submitting a project does not create an obligation for Strait Stitch Upholstery to accept the work.

Strait Stitch Upholstery reserves the right to decline or withdraw from a selected project if circumstances arise that make the project unsafe, impractical, unavailable, outside the intended scope of the promotion, or otherwise unsuitable for completion.

If a selected project is declined or withdrawn before work begins, Strait Stitch Upholstery may select another project.

14. FINAL PROJECT AGREEMENT

Before work begins, Strait Stitch Upholstery and the selected customer will confirm:

• Project scope

• Materials

• Material costs

• Design selections

• Estimated timeframe

• Transportation or access requirements

• Any other relevant project details

The project will not begin until all project details have been agreed upon and the required payment has been received.

15. SUBMISSION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By submitting a project for consideration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Project Transformation Promotion Rules & Conditions.

You understand that:

• Submission does not guarantee selection.

• Projects are personally selected by Strait Stitch Upholstery.

• If selected, you are responsible for approved material costs.

• Materials will be sourced and supplied by Strait Stitch Upholstery.

• You may decline the project if you are not comfortable with the material costs.

• Promotional labour applies only to the agreed-upon project scope.

• Additional work may result in additional charges.

• Photos and videos of the project may be used for promotional purposes.

• If your project is not selected for the promotion, Strait Stitch Upholstery may still contact you about completing the project as a regular paid service.
